We help corporate clients in their capital-raising needs, focusing on cross-border financings into and out of the Asia Pacific region; and institutional investors in sourcing deals, doing due diligence and monitoring their investments in the region.

Prior to Co-Founding Zerobridge, Rahul was a Managing Director, and head of the Financing Solutions Group at UBS in Hong Kong, where he led a team providing private financings for a range of companies for acqusitions, LBO’s and growth.
Rahul also managed UBS’s own balance sheet of upto US$2 billion in special situations investments and leveraged and acquisition finance loans in the region.
Over his career at UBS, Rahul has held numerous successful leadership roles in a variety of credit products and businesses including leveraged finance, distressed trading, special situations and principal credit at UBS in London, New York and Hong Kong. In these roles, he has raised over US$100 billion from primary debt markets for clients globally, of which over US$25 billion was in Asia Pacific alone.
Lawrence is the Vice-Chairman of Venture Smart Group. He is also the Co-founder and Managing Partner of BlackPine Private Equity Partners, an independent investment firm based in Hong Kong with a Greater China focus.
Lawrence has invested in companies such as Lufax, C2FO, WH Group, Evergrande and GCL Polysilicon.
He was formerly a non-executive director of AMTD Group Limited, an affiliate of Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) and CK Hutchison Holdings (SEHK: 0001), and nonexecutive director of Quali-Smart Holdings Limited (SEHK: 1348).
Lawrence previously worked as a portfolio manager at UBS O’Connor in Hong Kong focusing on Asian investments in real estate, financial institutions and consumer companies. Lawrence graduated from University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He is a member of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Hong Kong Private Equity and Venture Capital Association serving on the Venture Committee.
